Straw Bale House

I was asked recently to be involved in plastering the inside & outside walls of a straw-bale house. I've always been interested in green building materials and using straw bales has many advantages - among them high strength, excellent insulating properties and low cost, as well as the environmental benefits that come from reusing an agricultural waste product.

Plastering An Arch

Fitting A New Kitchen

A new fitted kitchen was required for this project. First I removed the old kitchen; re-plastered and painted  all the walls and ceiling, laid new floor & wall tiles, then inserted a new fitted kitchen.

2 Bedroom Flat - Renovated, Plastered & Tiled

One of the most interesting projects I've been involved in was to renovate a downstairs area into a self-contained flat with; 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room & kitchen. I also had to build some tiled steps to enable access to the upstairs. The photos help to show how this was achieved.

Tiled Steps To New Apartment

In this project the clients wanted an access from their upstairs living room to the new downstairs apartment. We made a hole in the floor then built the tiled steps.
