Plastered Walls In Margate

In this bedroom the plasterboard ceiling and plasterboard walls have been plastered with multi-finish plaster. The brick walls had a plaster backing coat (Hardwall) laid before 2 coats of multi-finish plaster.

    Thank you for sharing the process with pictures here. Why it is needed to have plaster backing coat? Any specific reason behind that?

      On a masonry background (ie brickwork) it's advisable to apply an undercoat plaster to provide a durable base for the top coat finish plaster.
