Plastering the conservatory wall

The brick wall of this conservatory of a home in Broadstairs, Kent needed to be plastered. Steel angle beads were fitted to the corners, before laying first a backing plaster coat and then a plaster finish coat.

Ceiling repaired and plastered

The damaged original plaster ceiling has been removed, exposing the wooden lathes. 12.5mm sheets of plasterboard was then fitted to the wooden beams. This new ceiling was then plastered using 2 layers of multi-finish plaster.

Plastering a damaged ceiling

When removing the unwanted polystyrene ceiling tiles, it was noticed that there were many hairline cracks on the ceiling. A fibrous mesh scrim was covered over the cracks, PVA (an adhesive/sealant) was applied over the whole area of the ceiling. Then 2 coats of multi-finish plaster was laid to a smooth finish.

Re-plastering walls in Margate Kent

All the wallpaper in this bedroom at a home in Margate, Kent has been stripped. Exposing damaged walls that need re-plastering. We prepared the walls by applying PVA (an adhesive/sealant). When the PVA had soaked in sufficiently, 2 coats of multi-finish plaster was laid to a smooth finish.

Plastering a chimney breast wall in Margate, Kent

This chimney breast wall at a home in Margate, Kent has been plastered using a backing plaster (Carlite Bonding) on the brickwork then a multi-finish plaster for the final top coat. The 2 interior walls have been plastered using the traditional Lime Render (lime, sand & horsehair).

Plastered Walls In Margate

In this bedroom the plasterboard ceiling and plasterboard walls have been plastered with multi-finish plaster. The brick walls had a plaster backing coat (Hardwall) laid before 2 coats of multi-finish plaster.

Plasterboard Ceiling

A good option to repair a damaged ceiling is to overboard using 12.5mm plasterboards, then apply 2 coats of multi-finish plaster to a smooth finish. This option was chosen on this ceiling at a property in Westgate-on-sea, Kent.

Plastering An Extension
